Next Up Hero is a cute, 2D top-down dungeon-lite that is fast-paced and frantic. It brings some new ideas to the fore - creating new levels for other players, using the "echos" of past players to your advantage, etc.. The bright graphics are engaging, but the soundtrack was definitely an upbeat surprise.Looking forward to where the game goes!. Saw HyperRPG stream this on twitch and the art style immidiately caught my attention. Seems more polished than most early access titles but still a little rough around the edges. Keyboard/Mouse controls needs more tuning.. great start to early access. interesting concept loved playing it.... can't wait for new content and updates. I played this a bunch during beta so this isn't reflective of that playtime but I have to say this game is great. I really really enjoy it. Its surprisingly really fun, I've mostly been sticking to the melee characters with M&KB as they play the better than the ranged ones do in that regard I feel. I think there is a good variety of enemies all requiring different tactics, I especially enjoy the little guys who run to the nearest enemy and turn into a copy of them, I think that's a nice touch. I don't really understand why some only have say 10 levels and others have 80 but are the same difficulty, I suppose it's just the setting but I feel like easy levels maybe should be limited to less, saving that for the higher ones like normal and hard. I like most of the variety of tasks for the levels, darkness though could use some work as it's just not very fun. RPG mode is pretty cool, enjoy the 1hp levels as well as the timed levels, don't seem to get timed often enough IMO I think the time pressure should be used more often. Fighting a copy of yourself is pretty neat too. Gameplay is fun and challenging and I'd definitely suggest this to anyone.Note: yes this is early access, yes there are bugs, goes without saying one would think. A fun little game, definitely more challenging than first glance would suggest. Cute art style, the music is nice, and a decent variety of trials. The aiming seems a little off for some of the ranged attacks on diagonals, but that could really just be me. Worth a look I'd say!. Online-only, mobile-like, shallow.
